Since the academic year 2004-05, the Department of Statistics and Actuarial-Financial Mathematics has been offering the Postgraduate Program (M.Sc.) in Statistics & Actuarial-Financial Mathematics, which includes the following specializations:

1. Statistics and Data Analysis (SDA) and 

2. Actuarial and Financial Mathematics (AFM)

This program covers a field of great significance, characterized by its breadth, dynamism, and high demand. It aims both to advance knowledge and research and to meet the growing need for highly specialized professionals, scientists, and researchers in Statistics and Actuarial-Financial Mathematics. Graduates develop skills in data processing and analysis, modeling, problem-solving in uncertain environments, and providing quantitatively substantiated support for decision-making and policy planning.

The program is designed primarily for recent graduates as well as professionals who aspire to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills for future career advancement and success.

A key objective of the program is for its graduates to possess strong competencies as business executives with a solid background in quantitative sciences. Specifically, students gain in-depth knowledge in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Finance, and Computer Science, while also acquiring the expertise necessary to meet the challenges of their professional careers.

The broader goal is to equip students with the appropriate knowledge and develop their strategic and critical thinking skills, enabling them to analyze corporate challenges and opportunities. At the same time, they will be able to formulate and implement innovative and effective business policies and strategies in an ever-evolving environment.
